    Hi Daryl,
Yes mate I have bought it, I got it off ebay so i have notseen it in the flesh. It's a bit complicated...I live in the Philippines and work in West Papua,Indonesia. So the Trike will be collected by my lad next weekend.I want to do a tour round Europe with my Filipino missus next year and the Trike is something I have fancied for a while now.
I know a bit about Max's and I am fitting the heavy duty Earth cables on my 87 Max when I get home next month.I have had few problems with her i.e Selector barrel pins coming out =Fitted modded pins and cap. Starter not engaging =fitting repair kit when i get home this tripplus the cables. And I am fitting new fork seals and Progressive springs.
Thank's for your time mate and I would like to keep in touch with you.
    Rgds

Hi mate.. 1st of all im no expert as ive only had mine for about 4 months, but when it comes to trikes I can tell you the most important thing is to make sure its straight, your never going to make sure from looking at photos, if the front forks lean slightly to one side its pretty much knackered, really do need to get on it and try it as that will tell you instantly if it has a problem, I know this from almost buying an £8000 ninja trike until someone pointed it out to me.

Trikes suffer from wobble as low speeds so need to use both hands, though steering damper and correct adjustment to the forks can solve most of that.

Personally i would only recommend trikes that have independent rear suspension as youll always have all 3 rear on the road rather than a hard tail which might raise a wheel when cornering fast, downside to rear independents is you might suffer from more opposite lean when cornering, though upgraded the springs to a harder setting will solve that.

Steering is very heavy but again there is stuff on the market to help, even wider more angled handlebars can help.

also rear disk brakes are far better than drums which many trikes have.

Only problem ive had is the hot start problem which a lot of max's suffer from, the upgraded negative wiring for £25 and 10mins to fit solved all that, though my mate has a vmax and hes not had a problem so like with anything you buy you dont dont know what your going to get.

As Ive said make sure its straight and get one with independent rear suspension, though im sure many hardtail riders would disagree with me.. :)

Have you actually bought it yet or thinking of bidding on one?
